Happy Easter!
The girls are 5 months old today! It has been an amazing 5 months. I can hardly believe how big they are getting. Just this week they seem to have outgrown many of their 3-6 month clothes. They are already fitting into some 6-9 month clothes! I, of course, take credit for ALL their growth as I am proud to say that we are still going strong with breastfeeding. We are nearly halfway to our goal of one full year of mama's milk! We are still waiting until at least 6 months to start any solid foods. I may even wait until we visit everyone in Arizona, and then they can share in the fun of starting foods!
We made the switch to convertible car seats this week. It was getting to the point where I could hardly carry them back and forth from the car in their carriers! They seem much more comfortable in their convertibles. Now that they are out of their infant carriers, we also got to try out their side-by-side stroller. I have to put them in the stroller to take them both out to the car now that they aren't in the carriers. They look like such big girls! It is a MUCH easier stroller for me to maneuver than the other big "bus!" Even Aidan can push the new stroller easily.
Candace is still rolling from her back to her tummy and Cassidy finally rolled from her back to her tummy yesterday!!! She has yet to repeat the trick, but she is just not as eager as her sister to move and get mobile. However, she can twist and turn herself in all directions! Candace is starting to push up and forward on her belly. She likes to roll onto her tummy and then push up and scoot towards Cassidy. They both laugh and smile all the time now. They especially love to laugh for Aidan! Cassidy has recently discovered she has a voice and she loves to use it! She is quite loud and gets the biggest kick out of herself shrieking and yelling. They've also started to notice each other more and they love to grab and chew on each other's body parts, clothes and bibs!
Cassidy rolls!!!
Candace started out parallel to Cassidy on the green mat, you can see how she has rolled and scooted towards her sister!
We have still not had any luck with naps and schedules, but I take responsibility for that. We seem to have somewhere to go every day and it is impossible to stick to any kind of plan or schedule when you are not home! I may decide to just take a week and not go anywhere so we can really work on it. They are also still not sleeping through the night. I can not even remember what a full night's sleep feels like! Maybe someday....
Yesterday I took Aidan and the girls to an egg hunt here on the base. They got to see the Easter Bunny and Aidan found lots of eggs! It could not have been timed any better because the second we got home it started to rain, and it didn't stop until around 11:00 this morning! The Easter Bunny had to leave the eggs with a note for Sean and I to hide them for Aidan after the rain stopped. So Aidan did not hunt eggs until this afternoon. The girls enjoyed watching him run around the yard and they looked so pretty in their dresses!

What fun! The girls look beautiful and Aidan is going to be such a handsome man. Have the girls from his class started calling yet? I love the difference between the picture of Aidan holding the girls on the side of your blog to the one yesterday. You can really see how much they have grown!
Nicole. Love all these pics. The one where the are wearing red and Aidan is behind them in the stroller is ONE of my favorite. I love the other ones too! They are getting so big and I want to give you a standing ovation for bf'ing and sticking it out. GO GIRL! The dresses, headbands and baskets are adorable. Aidan is such a great big brother and that is so awesome. I can see why he is such a great kid...he has a great mom!
