Fussy Days

It's been a rough couple of days. Cassidy has been fussy, probably because of the teething, and Candace is acting even fussier than normal, sympathy pangs for her sis maybe? Whatever the cause, we are hoping it will pass soon! Sometimes it feels as if we make three steps forward only to make two steps back, sigh. For awhile, there had been more good days than fussy days, but now the balance has shifted again. Ahh... life with twinfants! I hope to report another positive shift soon.

Candace had a three month check up this week due to her food allergies and to check her weight gain. She has gained 2 lbs. in the past month. She is now 12.5 lbs! It makes me feel really good to know that she is growing and thriving on my milk. It makes the dietary sacrifices I've had to make all worth it! Cassidy was 6 oz. bigger than Candace at the 2 month appt. (even though she was 6 oz. smaller when they were born!) so if she is still growing at the same rate, she is just about 13 lbs.

In other news, Aidan didn't qualify for the gifted program, but we are still so proud! He was only 5 percentage points away. He exceeded their standards on the non-verbal portion, but his score on the verbal portion was not quite high enough. Hopefully he will pass next year. I took the test every year as a kid, starting in first grade, and I didn't qualify until the end of third grade!

Now I need to go enjoy a few minutes peace before any more fussing begins...
